Part of any good holiday is being able to discover the best bits for yourselves…so we won’t spoil it for you. There are some great beaches within easy reach.
Snorkel with confidence from the gorgeous Tzortzi Ghialos beach where there’s plenty to see underwater.

Just around the headland there’s Leftos Ghialos, a beautiful little cove with 3 excellent beach bound tavernas. This is as far as a lot of people can be bothered to stray – simple, cheap and well cooked food, amiably served.
A short drive away is the fishing village of Steni Vala, the ‘Fiskardo/Puerto Banus’ of Alonissos – but don’t get your hopes up. Go for good fresh fish dishes and forget the shopping.

Nightlife can be found in either the harbour town of Patitiri or Alonissos Old Town (think St Paul de Vincent in the South of France). Patitiri is as young and noisy as it gets on the island whilst the Old Town is somewhat more sophisticated with the best of the island’s fine dining and plenty of shopping opportunities.
Local amenities are good – there’s everything you need (banks, bakers, butchers, medical centre etc) and nothing you don’t need.
